I explained about Muharram and Ashurah before but today a friend of mine sent me this link about Shitte Ashurah mourning in Manhatan streets of New York and also in Toronto, Canada!
This ceremony is stupid and meaningless but extending superstition in Islamic society and sending "being foolish" message to people who get the chance to see them. If you have objection just give me one good reason that what are you doing and what society will benefit from your action during your mourning to somebody who get killed in past 1400 years ago? What good comes out of your mourning in the streets while you beat in your chest and head? Take a look at videos from New York and Toronto!
