U2 goes green, in support of Iran

Well, we know Bono always is ready to take on issues and crisis that takes place around the globe and this time he wasn’t indifference about suppression and regime’s violence in Iran.

On July 02, 2009 he sang “Sunday Bloody Sunday” in Barcelona and on the green screen, you can read a Persian poem.

And the battle's just begun
There's many lost but tell me who has won
The trench is dug within our hearts
And mothers, children, brothers, sisters torn apart

Thanks U2!

U2! Thank you so much for the support! You are the voice of Iranian's who are now forced to be quiet. I thank you on behalf of my people, who are now in jail, tourchered or mourning for their losts.
You cried loudly the voice of their GREEN REVOLUTION.

Hi Bono and U2,
Many thanks for your support of Iranian struggle and desire for a significant change toward an open, democratic society.Your initiative in Barcelona touched my heart deeply and I,m sure so was the case for majority of Iranian and people with feeling for justice and dignity.

It's great that they used the music of an Iranian artist going into the tribute, too. For anyone interested, the artist was Sussan Deyhim, and the track was Beshno Az Ney/Windfall: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=279277439&s=143441
