Using internet to change world for good

UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown rightly addresses global society and asks people

to organize and take collective action together to deal with problem and/or injustice that we want to deal with

through internet and all modern means of communication.

Seriously it is much easier than say 50 years ago to organize something like a movement against human rights abuse but the question that still remains is what stops people from doing the right thing?
