Following photo shows wrestler Tommy Rowlands of US, right, fights with his Iranian competitor Mohammad Hadi Pour Alijan on left in Iran, Aug 1, 2010. But I am not interested in the free style wrestling, well, not this one in particular. I am interested in the two posters on the right side.
Top right poster quoted Iranian supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei: "Martyrs are symbol of power in Iran". Top center poster quoted late revolutionary founder, Ayatollah Khomeini: "Martyrs are candle for circle of humanity".
In Islamic teachings, defending homeland or Islam is considered a sacred religious obligation for all Muslims. Throughout history of Islam, Muslims have been taught that they should sacrifice their lives for their religious believes or homeland and their sacrifice considered as the most generous act for Islam. The sacrifice called martyr and martyrs have been important figures throughout Islam.
In Islamic Iran, martyrdom regarded as the most worthy act that a Muslim can accomplish. Children has systematically taught the value of sacrificing their lives for religion and/or homeland. Children textbooks has been teaching the very fundamental value of "killing for defending your own belief" and media conveying the same values.
Islamic Iran has spent steadily on propaganda since the beginning of revolution in 1979. People have bombarded by the Islamic fundamental values since then, and when I saying this is Islamic fascism because I see with my eyes and I can identify key characteristics of fascism in society.

ReplyDeleteThis is scary. Good job on reporting the lunatic asylum that is theocratic Iran.

Imaging politicians in the ´West´ with such texts above their heads. ROLF I mean, to put it mildly, there is a gap in political culture.
ReplyDeleteI have been searching for active Persian blogs. What has happened to many of them? Regarding your post, this is standard practice of politicizing the masses not to think too much. It happens in many totalitarian countries. This practice is rather routine. It will eventually change, eventually. How long is "eventually"? That depends on the situation.....I suspect that your gov. is preparing for some future showdown with Israel. So, "eventually" could be in 2011? Late 2011? I don't know, just my feelings. Well good luck. Just keep up the act, and pretend its all normal. Things will change for the better after whatever happens between Israel and Iran. Of course alot of people might suffer, but on the other side, it will be better for those living and "martyred".
ReplyDeleteStandard Iranian regime propaganda posters
ReplyDeleteIranians will not martyr themselves for these dirty rabble. But we will martyr ourselves for FREEDOM!If khamenei loves martyrdom so much why not go under a pink bus.

ReplyDelete¶2. (S) According to source, President Ahmedinejad surprised
ReplyDeleteother SNSC members by taking a surprisingly liberal posture
during a mid January post-Ashura meeting of the SNSC called
to discuss next steps on dealing with opposition protests.
Source said that Ahmedinejad claimed that "people feel
suffocated," and mused that to defuse the situation it may be
necessary to allow more personal and social freedoms,
including more freedom of the press.
¶3. (S) According to source, Ahmedinejad's statements
infuriated Revolutionary Guard Chief of Staff Mohammed Ali
Jafari, who exclaimed "You are wrong! (In fact) it is YOU
who created this mess! And now you say give more freedom to
the press?!" Source said that Jafarli then slapped
Ahmedinejad in the face, causing an uproar and an immediate
call for a break in the meeting, which was never resumed.
Source said that SNSC did not meet again for another two
weeks, after Ayatollah Janati succesfully acted as a
"peacemaker" between Jafarli and Ahmedinejad. Source added
that the break in the SNSC meeting, but not the slap that
caused it, has made its way on to some Iranian blogs.
@ANONYMOUS...Does it matter what Ahmedinejad or Ali Jafari or come to think of it any of them say or do is going to change our view about all of them. They are nothing but killers rapists thiefs and liers so dont wast our time about telling us he did this and he said that we have been hearing this nonsense for over thirty years. This is how they control the public by these pathetic storys about this or that so no more of these storys we just want complete regime change that means all of them leader and all must be put on trial by the NEW FREE IRAN without mullahs or mullahs law or mullah boys. This rejime must go we dont want it in any shape form or colour so next time you have any real news about Iran then post or else dont waste our time reading it or you righting it..ok?
